We offer pistol, rifle and shotgun courses for everyone from the brand new beginner to the advanced, gun operating professional. We emphasize a bio-mechanical, scientific approach to every technique and theory. Our courses are all geared toward using firearms in defensive environments to protect you and your loved ones. Each course covers a significant amount of relative content geared toward improving competition shooting skills as well. With a primary focus on safety, we teach the most efficient, modern techniques available and will prove them through demonstration during every course. CA CCW Initial Course

​2 day course - 16 hours - $375 (includes up to 3 gun qualifications)

 

Our CCW course is not like every other. Since there are no real standards of training in this field, we have taken the lead by offering the highest quality, most informative education that you can ask for. We will cite our sources on every concept, policy and law that we discuss. We will include real life experiences to help explain situational concepts. Most importantly, we'll make sure that you get all of your questions answered and be there for you long after your course is complete. Our goal is not to simply sell you a certificate. We vow to provide you with a real education that you can use in your daily life. We'll cover and stress the obvious topics of situational awareness and avoidance but, we'll also dig deep into the difficult topics revolving around preparing for and dealing with the post use of force aftermath. This course is widely accepted as CCW training by Alameda, Amador, Calaveras, El Dorado, Placer, Plumas, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Shasta, Solano, Yolo & Yuba Counties, the cities of Davis, Galt, Ione, Jackson, Lodi, Manteca, Nevada City, Ripon, Stockton, Sutter Creek and Tracy, and it more than satisfies the CCW training requirements for the states of Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Oregon, Virginia & Washington. CA CCW Renewal Course

Like every course we offer, you can expect a very thorough, high quality CCW renewal course. The shooting portion is a ton of fun and the law lecture is extremely informative! Once you're finished qualifying your firearms, you'll be able to learn and play on steel targets at your leisure, so bring extra ammo. You will also receive education and recommendations on attorneys, as well as a membership that will pay for their services if you ever have to use force. This course is widely accepted as CCW renewal training by Alameda, Amador, Calaveras, El Dorado, Placer, Plumas, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Shasta, Solano, Yolo & Yuba Counties, the cities of Davis, Galt, Ione, Jackson, Lodi, Manteca, Nevada City, Ripon, Stockton, Sutter Creek and Tracy, and it more than satisfies the CCW training requirements for the states of Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Oregon, Virginia & Washington.

 

NV CCW Initial Course

This short, half classroom, half range course is necessary to obtain a highly desirable, Nevada concealed carry permit. Unlike the run of the mill courses that you will find, this high quality, Nevada CCW course will be SAFE, highly educational and fun! In this course we will discuss details about guns, ammunition, holsters, shooting fundamentals, safety, storage, Nevada laws and more. You can enjoy a rain or shine, all steel target range! We will operate from the holster and do much more shooting than just the mandated qualification. After completion of the course we will provide you with a training certificate and help you fill everything out. Come hang out, learn and have fun with us in Reno or Tahoe while getting your Nevada CCW!

NV CCW Renewal Course

 

1 day course - 4 hours - $105

 

This short, half classroom, half range course is necessary to maintain your highly desirable, Nevada concealed carry permit. This high quality, Nevada CCW course will be SAFE, highly educational and fun! In this course we will discuss details about Nevada laws and do some fun shooting exercises ... all on STEEL targets. After completion of the course we will provide you with a training certificate and help you fill everything out. Come hang out, learn and have fun with us in Reno or Tahoe while getting your Nevada CCW renewed!

  

UT/AZ CCW Course

 

1 day course - 4 hours - $185 (or $135 if performed immediately after the CA CCW course - includes fingerprinting & application for an AZ CCW)

 

This short, all classroom course is necessary to obtain a highly desirable, Utah concealed carry permit. In this course we will discuss details about guns, ammunition, holsters, shooting fundamentals, safety, storage, Utah laws and more. We'll also roll your fingerprints, provide you with an application/training certificate and help you fill everything out. Ask how you can complete this course immediately after your CA CCW course.

  

Handgun Science 1 Basic Course

 

1 day course - 8 hours - $250

 

This foundation building course is designed to help you develop the appropriate knowledge, skills and attitude for responsible and safe gun ownership. If you're new to handguns, this is the course for you. We will cover gun safety, nomenclature, safe handling and operation details, ammunition details, loading, unloading, shooting fundamentals, and more! You can expect an open, friendly and safe environment to learn in. The course will begin with a safety lecture and progress into laws on storage and transport of firearms. After this, you will get to learn what to consider before even touching a firearm, how to hold it, how to manipulate it, how to load and unload it and finally, how to shoot it. This progressive, hands on learning will take place entirely on a private range. With very small class sizes, this is an ideal environment for men, women and children to learn in. This is a great husband/wife or parent/child course. Completion of this course will help prepare you for the CCW course and Handgun Science 2 - Accuracy - course.

Handgun Science 2 Accuracy Course

 

1 day course - 8 hours - $250

 

This course is open to anyone who wants to enhance their skills and accuracy with a pistol or revolver. We will cover everything from gun safety, to the laws revolving around owning, carrying and operating firearms, to presenting a handgun from a holster, to the fundamentals of handgun shooting, as well as loading, unloading and reloading. The objective of this class is to develop good habits through a scientific understanding of bio-mechanical placement, pressure and focus, applied in the correct order when operating handguns. We will break each fundamental down independently, in great depth. We will sum it all up with a simple, short list of processes that need to be done every time you deploy a handgun, prior to pulling the trigger. As with every class, this will be performed on a private range in a SAFE and Fun environment. The course will conclude with a skills test. Satisfactory completion of this test will allow your advancement to the Handgun Science 3 - Speed - course.

Handgun Science 3 Speed Course

 

1 day course - 8 hours - $250

This speed building course is designed to give you the skill sets needed to operate your pistols proficiently, accurately and quickly. The goal of this course is to get you to trim as much unnecessary motion as possible. We will dig deep into every detail that will allow you to get your gun shooting sooner. We will also maximize your recoil control so you can trim your split times while maintaining your accuracy. You will get to shoot on targets under time pressure in multiple skill building drills. You will learn how to effectively diagnose and clear handgun malfunctions. You will also learn how to rapidly reload your gun. You will leave this course with a greater level of confidence in your ability to use your handguns in defensive situations or to perform at the next level in your competitions. The course will conclude with a skills test. Satisfactory completion of this test will allow your advancement to the Handgun Science 4 - Movement - course.

Handgun Science 4 Movement Course

 

1 day course - 8 hours - $295



This course will help you learn the valuable skill set of "getting off the X". This concept is a crucial milestone in your defensive education. Without understanding and practicing off line movement, you could be a sitting duck! This course is also great for competition shooters to get a clear understanding of entering and exiting shooting positions. Throughout this fun and exciting day, we will explain the whens, hows and whys of this concept. We will help you develop a viable approach to this through logical discussion, Q&A and of course, drill after drill after drill of dry and live fire exercises! You can expect to gain a complete scientific understanding of how to enter and exit shooting positions efficiently. I hope to see you on the range, eager to learn and practice this essential fundamental. The course will conclude with a skills test. Satisfactory completion of this test will allow your advancement to the Handgun Science 5 - One-Handed - course.

Handgun Science 5 One-Handed Course

 

1 day course - 8 hours - $295



This course will focus on developing your proficiency while operating your pistol one-handed with both the "Firing Side" and "Support Side". You will draw and fire from your holster one-handed, with each hand. Yes, you will be drawing your gun with your support side hand from your normal, firing side holster. Malfunction clearances and reloads will also be taught one-handed. You will get to shoot at multiple targets from covered and open positions. We will do many drills of dry and live fire for each concept. The course will conclude with a skills test. Satisfactory completion of this test will allow your advancement to the Handgun Science 6 - Advanced Mastery - course.

Handgun Science 6 Advanced Mastery Course



1 day course - 8 hours - $350



This course will teach you to use everything possible to put yourself at an advantage and your attackers at a disadvantage. We will find and work with each individual's limitations as we explore getting into and fighting from unorthodox positions. You will perform close contact shooting, turning and shooting, shooting while seated, kneeling, prone, supine, shooting from inside of and around a vehicle, weapon retrieval drills, and the use of voice commands to control encounters. You will learn how to safely and most efficiently maneuver yourself into the best position available given your circumstances. This course mandates that you think on your feet and use a variety of fundamental techniques in dynamic environments. Passing the skills test earns you the title of LFI Handgun Master.

Massad Ayoob's MAG-40 Handgun Course

This is an intense, four-day, 40-hour immersion course in the “rules of engagement” for armed law-abiding private citizens. The course emphasizes legal issues, tactical issues, and aftermath management. Topics will include interacting with suspects, witnesses, responding police officers, threat recognition and mind-set, and the management of the social and psychological aftermath of having to use lethal force in defense of self or others.  Also covered is preparing beforehand for legal repercussions and minimizing your exposure to them. Situations in the home, at the place of business, or “on the street” will all be covered. Range work will include instruction in the use of the defensive handgun under extreme stress. Drawing from concealment, two-handed stances, shooting from cover, one-handed stances with either hand, speed reloading, and more are taught with an overall emphasis on fast, accurate shot placement. The course will culminate with a written examination covering the classroom topics and a police-style handgun qualification course. This course is a combination of MAG 20/Live Fire and MAG 20/Classroom. The classroom portion is on days 1 & 2. The shooting portion is on days 3 & 4.

Prerequisite: a basic understanding of firearms safety.

Shotgun Science 1 CQB Fundamentals Course



1 day course - 8 hours - $250



This 1-day course will give you confidence in your ability to run your shotgun. Whether you're planning to use a shotgun for for home defense, competition, hunting, or for your dangerous occupation, you need the science behind operating and controlling this powerful tool. Expect to gain a clear understanding of a variety of shotguns and the engineering that goes into them. You'll also learn about ammunition selection as well as the most bio-mechanically efficient techniques of shooting. Regardless of your skill level now, you will leave much better equipped to run your shotgun efficiently. Satisfactory completion of this course will allow your advancement to the Shotgun Science 2 - Advanced - course.

Shotgun Science 2 Close to Mid-Range Advanced Course



1 day course - 8 hours - $275



This 1-day course is designed to improve your fundamentals while adding the complexity of movement, speed, stress and various shooting positions. You'll gain a realistic perspective on the effective potential of your shotgun as we shoot slugs on steel from longer distances. Most certainly, you'll want learn what you can and cannot do before you attempt to perform in a high pressure situation outside of our class/controlled environment. We will work with you at your physical level. We have alternate techniques for you if you have limitations. Last, you will learn how to safely and rapidly transition to your handgun in emergencies. You won't find a more informative, fun shotgun course anywhere!

 

Rifle Science 1 CQB Fundamentals Course

This course is designed to help you become proficient at running your rifle and controlling recoil. As with all of our courses, we will accomplish this through a clear understanding of the bio-mechanical science involved. We will also break down the correct ammunition to use for a variety of probable applications. Whether you're considering using your rifle for home defense, competition, hunting, or your much appreciated occupation, you will leave this class with confidence that you can use your rifle to a higher level. Satisfactory completion of this course will allow your advancement to the Rifle Science 2 - Advanced - course.

Rifle Science 2 Close to Mid-Range Advanced Course



​1 day course - 8 hours - $275



Come prepared to have a ton of exciting fun pushing your limits of speed and accuracy. You will get to run your rifle from 5yds to 200yds on both paper and steel targets. We will shoot from a variety of positions and cover the science behind stabilizing them. We will also dig deep into the bio-mechanics of getting in and out of these position and moving. I will work with each student individually to maximize everyone's ability. You need to find out what you can and cannot do before you attempt something in a high pressure situation. We will work at your pace on these topics and find alternate methods if you have limitations. Last, you will learn how to safely and rapidly transition to your handgun in emergencies. If you want to improve your ability and efficiency with your rifle and you want to learn how to practice the cool stuff PROPERLY, this class is for you.

 

 

 

Armorer's Courses for GLOCK, SPRINGFIELD XD & XDm, & S&W M&P & M&P Shield Pistols



​1 day course - 8 hours - $250



Each of these 1-day courses allow you to begin the day shooting challenging courses of fire on fun STEEL TARGETS. Once we have accomplished getting the guns a little dirty, we will head into the classroom and learn how to take close to every pin, spring, lever, etc. out of the guns and of course, put all of them back in properly. Throughout this step-by-step process I will offer one-on-one attention to anyone needing assistance. We will address common wear points and stress points. We will also address customization and aftermarket parts. Come learn how to fully maintain the tools that you rely your life and your family's lives on. I hope to see you there!

 

Participants in any of these courses must be law abiding. Participants must also understand or be willing to learn the basic moral concepts relating to the use of firearms in self-defense, and must observe not only general gun safety rules, but also the safety principles that are specific to defensive situations. Anyone who fails to demonstrate adherence to safety in any course, will be removed from the course without any possibility or a refund. Laws vary from state to state. It is your responsibility to know and obey all laws pertaining to the purchase, possession and use of firearms. If you're going to travel to or through another state, you should research that state's laws on their Department of Justice or Department of Public Safety website.
